1. It must meet the requirements of process parameters such as flow rate, head, pressure, temperature, and NPSH.
2. Must meet the requirements of medium characteristics:
a. For pumps conveying flammable, explosive, toxic or precious media, reliable shaft seals or non-leakage pumps are required, such as shielded pumps, magnetic drive pumps, diaphragm pumps, etc.
b. For pumps conveying corrosive media, corrosion-resistant materials are required for the flow-passing parts.
c. For pumps conveying medium containing solid particles, wear-resistant materials are required for the flow-passing parts, and the shaft seal should be washed with clean liquid if necessary.
3. It must meet the installation requirements on site.
a. For pumps installed in places where corrosive gases exist, measures to prevent atmospheric corrosion are required.
b. For pumps installed outdoors at an ambient temperature lower than -20C, it is required to consider the cold and brittle phenomenon of the pump and use low temperature resistant materials.
c. For pumps installed in explosive areas. Explosion-proof motors should be used according to the explosion zone grade.
4. For factories that require major maintenance once a year, the continuous operation period of the pump should generally not be less than 8000 hours. In order to meet the requirements of a major overhaul every 3 years, APl610 (8th edition) stipulates that the continuous operation period of pumps used in petroleum, heavy chemical and gas industries shall be at least 3 years.
5. The design life of the pump is generally at least 10 years. APl610 (8th edition) stipulates that the design life of centrifugal pumps for petroleum, heavy chemical and gas industries shall be at least 20 years.
6. The design, manufacture and inspection of the pump should comply with the relevant standards and specifications.
7. The pump factory should ensure the performance of the pump within the range of power supply voltage and frequency. The range of power supply voltage and frequency in my country is: voltage - 380V ± 10%, 6000V + 5%, -7%, frequency - 50Hz ± 0.5%
8. When determining the model and manufacturer of the pump, factors such as pump performance, energy consumption, reliability, price and manufacturing specifications should be considered comprehensively.
